A mini puzzle set is such a great idea! I was excited to try this as a lower energy and lower commitment alternative to larger puzzles as someone who has health-related energy issues, and who doesn't currently have a great space to dedicate to big puzzles that will stay there over a few days being completed.
And it worked out great for both of those factors! I think I completed them in around 30~40 minutes each, and for me it was the perfect combination of challenging enough to still be interesting, but not tiresome or frustrating. At the start, because the pieces are so small, it can be hard to make out what any of them are, but because there's only 99 pieces per set, there's not much trial and error you have to go through before it comes together. They also lock together so well! Once completed I could easily pick them up and move them around like a sort of placemat lol.
My only (slightly) negative points are: one, that there was quite a bit of puzzle dust in the main container box and also in each of the puzzle boxes when I tipped out the pieces.
And two, due to the pieces being small, it means that there's more join lines obstructing the artwork - which I expected from previous reviews and is somewhat unavoidable for this kind of thing, and they still look gorgeous put together, but I just wonder if a different art style (perhaps with visible line art?) or a larger/more zoomed in subject would work better? And these are just hypotheticals, I'm not sure if it would actually make the difference. I also noticed that the shadows of the join lines blend in more on the darker "Beloved Night" piece compared to the others which makes sense.
But they were both pretty minor things and I really enjoyed this set overall!! Plus - this was my first time ordering from Reverie Puzzles and I was just so stoked to find a local company that is a woman-owned and -run small business, that also fairly compensates and credits their artists AND has sustainability values! Not to mention how beautiful all the puzzles are regardless. So cool and I will definitely be ordering more in the future :)) .
